My analysis of this boxart: It says "Only for Xbox 360," but what it means to say is "We're going to port this bitch over to the PC a year after the 360 version comes out and give a shitload of super awesome new content that you'll never ever get to play since you own a console and can't afford a high-end gaming PC." There was probably a type-o, cause that's what they really meant to say.

Ok, maybe I'm being a little resentful, but what can I say, I'm a gamer who holds a grudge.

As a gamer with a high-end gaming PC, I say woohoo, though I find these games pretty boring. But then, would you feel better if they decided to make it non-exclusive from the get-go, and keep the content equal?

I like when developers give options. So I have no problem when they make a game multiplatform (as long as it doesn't degrade the final product). It just seems a little unfair when they give exclusive content to a platform. I realize that the content hadn't been finished till after the 360 version came out, but I would have been willing to pay for it as downloadable content.

"you'll never ever get to play since you own a console and can't afford a high-end gaming PC"

so what exactly is to say you can't afford both? I mean, hell, it's not that uncommon. however, buying a game twice for 15% extra content is not one of my favorite things to do.

why would I care if it came out for PC anyways? There's hardly anybody online in GFW Live titles...

Obviously MS means console exclusive. If you haven't figured that out by now I don't know where the hell you've been at for the past 7 years...

Yea I think they should put on the front of the box "Only on the Xbox 360 Console" or "Exclusive to Xbox 360 Console" which would be more appropriate. I really dont mind if they put in on PC anyway I would much rather play it in Nov 08 than 1 year later when everybody is playing Call of Duty 6 =)

I think Bioshocks box says "Only on Xbox 360 and Games for Windows"

I agree with Platinum_Skeet. In this "console" war, if it ain't on Wii or PS3, it's an Xbox Exclusive.

Dude, it's not a "shit load" of content. It's five boring ass chapters that aren't worth it, and I would rather them keep it out of the original version and make it better for the sequel. The Brumak fight in the PC version was lacking.

I don't have the know-how, nor the money to scrape together a decent enough gaming PC that will probably only last me 2 years anyway, so I stick with consoles for the most part. I mean, I probably could get a decent rig together with some research, but it doesn't seem worth the effort. And, obviously paying for the game a second time would be pretty annoying too.

Dude, it most definitely IS worth the effort AND the money. Thats what all console gamers bitch about is the cost, but they don't know, because you can get a high end computer built for around a thousand bucks that will run all current games at the highest or mostly highest settings.

Yeah, ZeusGod, I think you're exaggerating. A computer that plays games at the highest settings for only $1000? Even if that were feasable, the computer would become outdated very quickly and would soon be forced to run games on lower settings. My problem has never been with paying for a gaming PC, it's how often you have to pay to keep it up to date. The PC doesn't have too much exclusive stuff to make it worth it. My PC is decent enough so I can enjoy a nice RTS every once in a while, but other than that the consoles are usually fine for me.

Gear of War was pretty boring when I wasn't playing co-op...and even that ran dry pretty quick, cuz Gears of War was also an insanely short game.

Here's hoping this one doesn't suck ass.

ya know, the first playthrough was pretty jaw dropping. those visuals just hadn't been seen yet and the gameplay is actually really good. after that wore off, it was on to the multiplayer. that...sucked....HARD! then it was co-op which was pretty fun, but not jaw dropping. the last time i played it through on insane, i vowed never to play it again (damn wretches in the train control room!), and i haven't. same for halo3. i figure this time around it won't be as exciting from the get go, but i hope i'm wrong. i hope they polish this game up and make it super duper. i like super duper games. (hey that's a good name for a dev company)

They had no choice but to put extra content in, otherwise noone would have cared.

Im also pissed that we didnt get the extra content on 360. But Im sure its because they were already on schedule for Gears 2 dev time which is fine by me. Im never gonna go out and buy it for PC seing as my PC wont run it as good as a 360 can.

But maybe theyve finally noticed that PC gaming isnt what it used to be. Heres a part of Cliffy B in a recent interview....

But after all the life talk, we quickly learn that Cliffy B fully supports and is entirely focused on console gaming saying that "PC [gaming] is just in disarray" and that "the PC is kind of the secondary part of what we're doing". Cliffy goes on to fully embrace the direction console gaming is taking and that "right now making AAA games on consoles is where we're at".

Well you have a point there also for anyone who lived during early the 80’s or early 90 the box art is meaningless.

I primarily care about gameplay and could not care less about something as trivial as box art. Well, as long as it doesn't feature bestiality.

Over this whole 'exclusive' marking. Just do what Bioshock did "Exclusive to PC and Xbox 360".

Anyways from the box art I'm learning a lot. The most important thing though was that this game is a sequel. >.

PEOPLE! STOP BITCHING ABOUT THE PC CONTENT. IT'S NOT WORTH IT, AND YOU GUYS WOULD HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED IF IT WERE IN THE XBOX VERSION.

You would all shoot yourselves if you bought the content for the 360.
