Man, there was a time the GH franchise was untouchable, now it's kinda sad...like Amy Winehouse sad.

I'm playing GH:A and I like it. Comparing the game to Amy is insulting. Its tons better than GH:80's.

I thought this week was Guitar Hero: Project 8. GH:Aerosmith was last week, wasn't it? I get so mixed up.

Guitar Hero:50 cent.

You can have 2 for a dollar! The catch is that there are no guitars in 50 cent songs.

How is the Gears of War package different from the 87 versions that came before?

This is the version that has been OFFICIALLY released and distributed at the $40 price point. Not the copies that went on sale. Basically, if you have this game already, why even comment on it? This is liek the Game of the Year edition two years later.

I'm a huge fan of the Trauma Center series as well, but this is just a port of the newest Wii version, correct? Still worth it for DS owners - especially those who don't own a Wii - but c'mon, isn't it a lot more fun to make fun of Aerosmith, first? :P

First on the agenda: Remark how bad is the GH franchise nowadays. Metacrtic score for this game is low and is just GH with Aerosmith songs (With just a few of the good ones, way to go Activision)

Then:Remark how good and hard are Trauma center games even though I have never played those games in particular but they get good scores. I might check “Joke” Trauma Center Abortion clinic /Joke.

Finally: Place a link to a youtube video that is not rick roll or its bastard Childs but just as devastating http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uGAEv5VTKn8 You have been warned.

Aerosmith cashing in on their name, yes, LAME. Calling their music mediocre? That is just plain wrong.

Well, even on Joystiq alone you'll see that many people in this world are fuckin' blithering idiots, so that's not too much of a stretch.

@ ESC

There isn't such thing as bad rock/metal because even the shittiest rock band is still better than Pop or R&B.

If you're implying that Queen has no guitar, then you sir are wrong.

Give me Bohemian Rhapsody with notes only on the rock bit after "Galileo" and I'd still buy it on the first day.

Anybody else notice that there were *zero* reviews for this game prior to launch? Reviews didn't start going live until this morning. And, of course, the reviews are more or less in the 6-7 range.

Sometimes the relationship between publishers and the game media is a bit on the sketchy side.

Certainly beats other media where often reviewers get either a special screening a couple days ahead or no release at all.

It's odd that only high reviews get released ahead of time but let's face it, the game industry gets special treatment already with having copies sent out far enough ahead to complete them and their writeups.

Plus, as an added bonus, our industry hasn't really had something happen like the Black Crows album review in Spin yet.... YET.

Difference is, a CD or cinema ticket will generally run you around $10. Games can many times that amount, and as an interactive medium, there is a lot more a review can tell you.

aerosmith 'IS' and forever will be one of the greatest rock bands of all-time, and are far from 'mediocre'. anyone who does not see them as this is really does not know much about music and talent.just the fact that they have perservered so many years and obstacles in their career, is more than enough to say that they truly deserve to be applauded.sry to say, but steven tyler and aerosmith win 'EVERY ROUND.

Why would they make an Aerosmith game? Aerosmith isn't one of those bands that's considered innovative, trendsetting like the Doors, The Who, Queen, Jimi Hendrix. These are the bands that most people, overall, like. Aerosmith, on the other hand, isn't for most people. I for one can't stand any of their music.

How about you people play GHA before you say negative shit about it?

I own the game, and I actually really enjoy it. Neversoft has done a really good job with this game, and they have shown improvement. The charts are better, the engine has been tweaked for a more-correct HOPO system. The Wii version has the Audio/video lag and online hyperspeed that was offered in the 360/PS3 patch. And not to mention, As a Wii owner, this game works with my Les Paul controller.

Why Aerosmith though....Joe Perry's not even seen as a Legend in any sense of the word...

I'll rent it maybe, play the songs, get like 4 achievements (since GH make all their ridiculously hard) and wash my hands of it.

Actually, the achievements for this game are RIDICULOUSLY easy. I have 830 points after two days of playing. The easy achievements are the main reason I got this, to be honest.

Aerosmith USED TO have a great musical career. They came back from 70s obscurity and drug abuse to put out some decent albums in the 80s/90s. However, after Pump they began to release a constant stream of crappy ballads, and let's not forget Revolution X. I haven't heard anyone mention that piece of Aero-garbage

Aerosmith is, without exception, the worst American rock band ever. Steven Tyler is the biggest douchenozzle on the planet.

Thank God I'm not obsessed with GH like I used to be, so I don't have to get this game.
