you're wondering how much power you need in your PC to get a decent framerate on the upcoming game, then take a look at
these specs.
A 1.5-gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 chip or AMD Athlon 1500.
384 megabytes of memory.
Two gigabytes of hard drive space.
An nVidia GeForce 3 graphics card or better; or an ATI Technologies 8500 or better.
This is a surprisingly low-end rig. We would never dream of trying it on this kind of hardware. Our best guess is that this would run the game on lowest settings and 800x600 resolution. Of course, the geniuses at id always have a few surprises in queue. They may have pulled off a miracle. We'll see in August.
