Sony's (proposed) answer to Halo will be arriving in stores tomorrow, and just so you know, it's pretty banged up. Perhaps it's just the limitations of the PlayStation 2, or maybe it's the sky's-the-limit determination of Guerilla Games, but Killzone suffers from frequent graphical malfunctions, at times bordering on PSone standards and framerate drops that are so jarring it's simply laughable. Not to mention, the AI is downright mindless, and the action is almost entirely left to scripted events that occur now and again between aimless bouts of lonely wondering. Your squad mates are often a nuisance, and the option to switch between characters is worthless, since playing as either the sniper or stealth character is terribly frustrating. It's a mediocre, straightforward shooter that features an exceptional score and masterfully detailed level design (when taken in stills). Bottom line, Killzone doesn't provide much more than a week's worth of filler leading up to November 9th. See for yourself.
