Everyone is getting into the game rig game these days. Dell, Gateway, and now Compaq have all thrown out their best stuff to get us gamers all hot and bothered. Well, Compaq has succeeded with one reviewer, at least. He gave it an 8/10. The system is made up of OEM parts, so none of that proprietarty crap here. The GX5000Z offers up Creative Labs, MSI and Samsung products. The reviewer found the system to be "fast" and "reliable" — a magic combo of words for a name-brand power machine. They had some problems getting the DVD drive to read the bevy of formats they threw at it. But if this is a gaming machine that's probably a lower priority item, overall.
