With blockbuster titles hitting the streets week after week this fall, it's inevitable that a
handful of games will be making an early appearance in the bargain bins. We're putting our money on Ghost in the Shell:
Stand Alone Complex. It's a classic example of a bare-bones, tomb raider-style action-shooter based on a (somewhat)
popular franchise. To their credit, Cavia did a respectable job implementing the anime/manga style of the series, but
failed to flesh out an inspired storyline through the gameplay. If you're a huge fan of all things Ghost in the Shell,
then Stand Alone Complex is probably worth adding to your collection, but if you're simply in the mood for a top notch
action game, this title should be left alone.
