Remember those days, as a young lad or lass, where the word "adventure" didn't mean something akin to Neverwinter
Nights, or Knights of the Old Republic? When the word didn't mean the old SSI gold box titles, but meant text
adventures, and
learning complicated, quite often seriously
backward syntax to get your character to pick up the "Magic Sword of Hercules" or whatever.
Remember the times when you got so frustrated that you started typing in swear words to see what would happen? Many of
the games from that era had things they did when you swore. I have a vague memory of a game that if you typed a certain
four letter word starting with "F" three times, it would quit the game saying "YOU WERE WARNED."
If you spent many happy hours adventuring back when text was king, and typed in your share of swears, you'll really
like this catalog of various games and what they did, complete with screenshots provided through the miracle of
emulation. Needless to say, there are bad words, as that's kind of the point.
