If you compare October sales of NBA 2K5 & Live 2005, Sega's lower priced offering outsold the EA competitor by 38%
on the Xbox. But if you compare those same titles' sales on the PS2, Live edges out 2K5 by nearly 33%. What gives?
Well, PS2 gamers have longed been courted by the EA franchises, while Sega went after Xbox owners early, offering some
of the first titles to be Xbox-Live enabled. Either way, the price cuts have helped reinvigorate the franchises and
drive competition between the two publishers, and of course, have lowered the prices for our favorite sports games!
ESPN outsells EA, right?
