Koei continues to pump out these eastern-flavored hack n' slash titles like there's no tomorrow. And after getting Xtreme with the Dynasty Warriors franchise, what else was left to do but liven up old feudal Japan. Make no mistake, Xtreme Legends is a budget-priced expansion, which can stand alone on its own, but really shines with the original Samurai Warriors at hand. You'll get four new characters, with their own five-battle storyline, and the ability to take them into multiplayer where the expansion has added several new modes, notably Gatekeeper, challenging you and an opponent to defend your respective gates against an enemy onslaught. The other upgrades are minor, an addition here and there… stage, mode, weapon, etc. If you haven't got your fill of Koei's standard, you can't go wrong with going Xtreme!
