Last week there was the story of the disgruntled spouse. The partner of an
Electronic Arts employee who was being worked into the ground (the
employe, not the spouse.) There's been talk of lawsuits, and other people have come out and confirmed the working
conditions are not all sunshine and flowers.
Following on the theme, the International Game Developers Association has published an open letter to the industry
explaining how the "quality of life" of it's workers/indentured slaves, is effecting the quality of software and is
holding back the industry.
The seed of change in the software industry? Or merely a storm in a teacup? Probably the latter, but we can hope it's
the former.
