Ever wished you could run around town, collecting pellets & power pills, while avoiding
your ghostly nemeses? Well, now you can. A development team in Singapore (funded by the military, obviously) has
designed a virtual reality game that turns real people into either Pacmen or pursuing ghosts.
Basically, to become the "Human Pacman", you throw on some goggles, strap on a backpack, and start running. The
computer you're wearing is part of a network that's supported by Bluetooth and GPS technology, and includes
head-mounted displays and inertia sensors. Besides its physical nature, Human Pacman is also meant to be a social game,
encouraging online helpers, who can view a virtual recreation of the action, to send messages to Pacman, helping him to
complete his goal. But beneath the surface, lurks a plan to devise a "smart suit" for the soldiers of the future…
