The Logitech Cordless Action Controller for the Playstation 2 arrives just in time for the holiday season. The
reviewer loves the thing, giving it a 90. From the review:
"The rumble feedback is strong for a wireless controller, and we squeezed more than 50 hours of use from a pair of AA
batteries with the rumble feature enabled. The unit doesn't have an on/off switch, so it instead relies on an automatic
shutdown feature that turns the controller off if there has been no input for five minutes."
That means it fixes all the weaknesses that I've found in my wireless controllers. Looks like I know what to put on my
wish list.

I have a Logitech wireless controller for both my PS2 and my XBox.
They both work great and last forever on just a couple of AA batteries. The PS2 one is probably the previous model before this and is a little larger and less comfortable to hold than the original Sony control. The Xbox one however is newer and freaking awesome. Very similar to the COntroller S in size. Real comfortable to use. My only complaint is that the L and R triggers are super-sensitive. Playing NCAA 2005, I often lauched a pass to a WR unintentionally just by brushing the triggers.

This is really old news, I have one of those for ages (read: at least a couple of months :)).
Nevertheless, it is a REALLY GOOD controller. 50 hours of gameplay with rumble pack enabled, 300 hours without. And when it has depleted its 50 hours of 'rumble play', it will still work for another 100 hours without.
Also, it's really responsive and accurate, like Sony's own controllers, and very comfortable to handle. Unlike many (if not all) of those other non-Sony controllers out there.
I love having these ^_^.

p.s. Brian: do you have this 'new' controller from Logitech or the older wireless one (which needed 4 AA batteries and performed much worse, or so I read)?

Ah, never mind, yes you seem to have the old model :).

Yeah I have the older PS2 one and the newer Xbox one. PS2 uses 4 AA's so it's a little heavy but it does get good battery life and is otherwise an excellent controller. The Xbox one uses just 2 AA's and is an improvement in pretty much every area.

I thought the same about this controller... it was great. The only warning I can offer to others that might buy this is SAVE your receipt. Three weeks after I bought mine I was using it and the power in my house flashed off and then right back on. My PS2 booted right back up but the wireless receiver apparently didn't because I couldn't get it to connect anymore after that. So just make sure you have the receipt to trade it out with if you decide to buy, because it is a great controller.
