One bug that I've noticed in my Stream copy of Half-Life 2 is a stuttering between chapters. When the new scene loads I can wait for up to ten seconds for the game to come out of a loop. Nothing will pull you out of a moment more than a repeating gunshot. At first, I figured I must have had my video settings too high. But even at 800x600 the thing would rear its ugly head. Apparently, many others have been seeing the bug, and now there's a site up that addresses it — with some short-term workarounds. So while Valve works on this monster, click on the link and give the suggestions a try. What do you have to lose? Except some quality time playing the best game of the year.
