Alien Hominid might have escaped your radar, but this unique, 2D side/top-down scroller may be of interest to those of
you who have a hankering for this dying breed. Alien Hominid first started out as a shareware game for browsers back in
2002, but don't think you're being fooled into paying for what was once free, this version has been updated in every
possible aspect for only $30. Expect the insanity (and frustration) of a Metal Slug title, that is, ducking, dodging,
jumping, blasting your way through a hand-animated screen of exploding chaos—and it's 2-payer co-op! This is old school
at its finest. True, this holiday season is jam-packed with gaming goodness, and while Alien Hominid isn't the most
groundbreaking or techinically sound title out there, it offers the best a shooter-of-yesteryear can offer—and for the
price-of-yesteryear! Cop it.
Hint: If you manage to complete the 15-level campaign, there's 200 levels of single-screen platforming waiting for
you; and if that's still not enough, there's an editing tool to create your own minigames.
