In response to the recent "Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility" ramblings about video games, someone
decided the remarks should be examined and put into context. The author was involved in a conference with the group,
who put out a list of the ten worst games, and there's no real surprises on the list. Aside from one game not actually
being out yet, and another only being available on import. Oh yeah, and GTA: SA only placed second. Must try harder,
Rockstar! One member of the group also considers it irrelevant that they've not actually played any of the games before
condemning them. There's so many things wrong with that I don't even know where to begin.
It's certainly true that parents need to take more responsibility. I know of someone who let's their nine year old
play GTA for crying out loud! However, groups like this do nothing but put out badly conceived and ill researched press
releases, with little concern for evidence. The authors response is a lot more convincing than anything the group said,
that's for sure.
