Blizzard has announced they're extending the trial period of their new MMO, World of Warcraft. Apparently, the load on the game servers was so immense out of the gate that the team had to add a few dozen new machines. But the addition of so many servers ended up causing problems, as well. A typical game launch, in other words. The company knows the only fair thing to do is to extend the free trial period, so they are. Still, kudos goes out to them. Though it may be the right thing to do, there are many companies who would have shrugged and told us gamers to get a life.
