Ghost Recon 2 banned in South Korea

The South Korean Media Rating Board has banned Ghost Recon 2, forcing Korean localization to a halt. Citing that the story (both PS2 & Xbox) went "way to far", the rating board felt that the game compromised the current situation, er… war, between South and North Korea. As for North Korea, the country has already expressed its discontent with the game, with one newspaper reporting:

"[Americans] have shown everyone their hatred for us. This may be just a game for them now, but a war will not be a game for them later. In war, they will only face miserable defeat and gruesome deaths."

Okay…
