Those silly research firms are at it again. The latest to emerge from the world of speculation and data-crunching hearsay, is a report from IN-STAT/MDR, called "Game Consoles 2004: Waiting for the Next Generation". The mention of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 2 is commonplace. But the "Gamecube 2" bit turned our heads. It makes sense that Nintendo would try to release their next masterpiece around the same time as Sony's offering. Consider it just the latest in a string of practically pointless predictions (that we all love, of course).
