I've never been an especially big fan of Wired magazine, so don't know if them covering video
games
is a rarity, but I certainly don't recall
reading many articles on them, and certainly not on specific titles.
That has changed now, with Wired running an article on Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Making the inevitable James
Bond comparison, and going so far as to call the game a masterpiece. Not sure I'd throw around that epithet so lightly,
but it's definitely a great game. Excruciatingly long opening cutscene not withstanding, it's definitely one of the
better games heading into Christmas. Though I'm getting a little weary of Hayter's constipated delivery of Snake's
lines.
