Growlanser Generations: better late than never?

Growlanser Generations is a 2-disc compilation set that's been a long time in the making.  But fear not, hardcore strategy/RPG gamers can likely squeeze 100 hours of "entertainment" out of this package.  Both games, Growlanser II & III respectively, offer a distinct gameplay system, and each title comes with its own unique tweaks—the two games are different enough.  Growlanser II has better levels & battles and is easier to navigate.  Growlanser III offers a better storyline & presentation and adds a bit more difficulty.  Combined, the two titles offer a decent RPG package for the strategist mind, but at the same time, show their age.
