It seems the PS2 has quite a little war on it's hands between the Sly Cooper, Jak, and Ratchet
and
Clank franchises. I've not played Sly
(sadly) but have played Jak… And it just didn't hook me as much as Ratchet and Clank did. Ratchet and Clank makes me
laugh. Jak didn't. In fact Jak just kinda bored me. Plus the truly deranged weapons in R&C are a big plus point.
Though admittedly the new Jak title is something a little different. However, Ratchet and Clank is the disk most often
in my PS2 in this genre.
Seems I'm not the only one who loves the game as well. I've not had a chance to test the online component myself (no
network adaptor), but the rest of the review, from my experience, seems dead on. As a parent, I like how the review
notes it's a good game that kids can actually play legally. That seems to be becoming a rarity these days, good games
that are okay for kids. Especially ones that don't involve bloody merchandising machines. Death to Spongebob!
