When it was first announced, one of the big selling points of Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth was the
sheer size of the armies. The early clips showed off thousands of soldiers clashing. It looked great, and the promise
was made that a standard computer could handle the load. As time went on, it seemed like the game clips started to show
off smaller and smaller crowds. It still looks impressive, but we've been wondering what happened.
Now a hack has been reported which allows you to add troops to the field. The steps to achieve this aren't simple, but
we're sure you can slog through it, if you're hungry enough. If you give it a try and it works, let us know what you
think. Do you think they altered the size of the armies for game balance reasons? Does it overload your hardware?
