Nintendo has countered the multimedia features packed into Sony's PSP with the announcement of a special adaptor (pictured right with GBA-SP) that will make use of SD cards. Unfortunately, without PC connectivity, users will need a SD reader/writer to transfer data from their computers. The adaptor, tentatively called "Play-yan", will be available by mid-February (Japan) and retail for roughly $50. It's good for 4 hours of movie playback; 15 or 8 hours of music (depending on whether or not the LCD is on/off). For more detailed specifications head over to Gamespot.
