Well, at least EA didn't score the Major
League Baseball license. Be thankful for small mercies. MLB 2006 has been announced for the PS2. Though really, that's
like announcing that the sun will rise tomorrow. Technically accurate, but hardly surprising. There's a few
screenshots, though sadly none of Barry Bonds trainer giving him "vitamins". The shots seem to prominently feature the
gentleman of the team to the right.
The game has all the usual features. Hitting a ball, catching a ball, throwing a ball… But also announces several new
features that sound interesting, but being the cynic that I am, a couple of them sound largely irrelevant. I do like
the sound of the new fielding though.
What all this means is that baseball season is not far away… Just three months, give or take. Which of the big 3 games
do you think will be the best in 2005? Which reminds me, I need to get back to my Red Sox franchise…
