Deep in the mists of time, there was a game. That game was called either "4D Sports Driving" or "Stunts!". On my Amiga it was known as the
former, on my PC, the latter. The game was stupidly addictive. For starters, you got to drive totally mad tracks with
jumps and the like, in a variety of cars which, for their time, had pretty good physics models. Better still, you could
build your own insane tracks. In fact, if you look around, despite being well over a decade old now, there is still an
active community.
Fast forward to this century, and finally, someone has picked up the idea. "Crashday" is "Stunts!" reborn. And about
damn time! If Crashday manages to capture half the original magic, it's going to be pretty damn special. Some new
screenshots have been posted of the vehicular mayhem, as well as giving you a taste of the crazy tracks you'll be
driving.
The FAQ on the site says the game is due in early 2005… But we all know what release dates are like.
