Halo 2 and Xbox 2 - two great tastes that go great together

Team Xbox is reporting that Xbox 2's launch will be blessed with a slight update to Halo 2. Halo 2.5, if you must. The piece mentions the title Halo 2 Directors Cut, but if that actually happens I will kill someone with one of my cats. The revised version would have HDTV support, which we expected to have for the Xbox title that was just released. Other tidbits in the piece include the possibility that Halo 2.5 will come pre-loaded on the Xbox 2's hard drive. Very interesting.

The rumor is that the Xbox 2 will come in 3 flavors in 3 different price levels. A bare essesntial version, a hard drive version, and an uber-set-top-box version with media center like abilities.
Halo 2.5 could be the carrot needed to sell the pricier versions.
