Tom Ohle gives his two cents about this year in gaming over on HomeLANFed. Ohle is a PR manager at Bioware, so we get to see what the "image man" saw in 2004. He doesn't disappoint, observing that the biggest development of the year was not a game, or even a number of games. The biggest development was the coverage of the games. With Halo 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Doom 3 (among many) selling millions out of the gate, Ohle thinks the expansive coverage of this fact is what will be seen as the biggest story of '04. He also gets into digital distribution, another big deal that gets short-changed in these wrap-ups. A good read, so check it out.
