#3: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora
Tomorrow (Xbox)
I must admit, I've never touched the one-player campaign. But that in itself, is saying something…
If you own an Xbox, but not a Live account, you?re missing out on? okay, here goes: the greatest gaming experience of this generation (of consoles). Yeah, I said it. And it?s true.
Hats off to Ubisoft for putting so much work into Pandora?s multiplayer. The foundation itself, was unheard of? third person vs. first person? How does that work?! Well, let me tell you, it works.
Sure, it?s been dead on the Live scene for a hot minute, but Pandora Tomorrow earned a special place in my heart. I might have lost sleep over Wolfenstein & Rainbow Six, but when it came to Pandora, I simply didn?t sleep. This was not an easy game. And while it was satisfying to pick on newbs now and again (or completely unsatisfying to get schooled), when you found the perfect match, you and your teammate where in for some straight battles!
And that?s what I loved about Pandora, the teamwork. This is a game that forced you to put bickering aside and
come together for the win. But believe me, there where just some of those days; the kind of days that
would leave me feeling hopeless, unable to return to the game for days, even weeks. But when we (me and my
partner) where on, man, watch out!
And if you didn?t know already, the ?white? button is where you can really do some damage. Tase a spy, holler
for my partner, hit the white button, and well? we won?t get into the details. If you missed Pandora Tomorrow,
then it?s likely too late?why not more maps, Ubi?! But you can still fire up the single-player?
[Don?t sleep on Chaos Theory.]
