Unfortunately Katamari Damacy has been a hard to find title in my experience. That's the only reason I don't have it yet. This isn't a cop out, because I know I will get it eventually, it just is a shame that it's so hard to locate (what I hear is) a great game!

I'm sorry, Luke. I've seen it in stores, twice, and they only had one copy at each place. It's definitely one of the better games, if you ask me.

katamari damacy is incredible. it's a game that everyone can play, regardless of age or skill level. before christmas, i saw it for sale at eb games at the local mall. the sales guy scoffed when i brought it up to the register, "that's uhhh...interesting." and apparently, i bought the last copy the store had. after i brought it home and played it, i went out the next day, to search for a copy to get for my friend for christmas; it took some searching, but found one in a gamestop.

then, over the christmas weekend, i brought the ps2 and katamari home, to show my sister, who came home for the holidays. she's not a gamer at all, and as kids, we never had any gaming system. she laughed when i explained the concept of the game, thinking it was really stupid. then she played it. for 6 hours straight. i had to pry the controller from her hand! even though it seems like the game is kinda short, what's great is, it's one of those games where you go back to former levels, because you think "i can do better than i did last time."

Baten Kaitos is a really good game. The storyline is really old-schoolish, totally sans of the 'ummm, ok' moments that Final Fantasy or Xenosaga can dish out, and the card system is really cool. It's nice to have a totally different, but also totally accesable interface. Great Job. As for Katamari Damacy, I was at Media Play on a monday, and happened to spot a copy in the Anime section. That evening, my wife was complaining that I wanted a game that nobody had, so it was back to Media Play the next day to pick it up, where it was still sitting in the Anime section. So you can say I was darn lucky to snag a copy. And my defining moment playing it was when I was playing the last level, and I was looking for the area that I had started in. Then I relized that I had just rolled it up. It's a classic example of a simple but complex game.
