Gran Turismo 4 has shipped

The Japanese version anyway. It's tough to find out if a game has actually released out there. I
did
some digging. Amazon.jp was no use since I
don't speak the language, and their "In English" feature seems to be useless.
However, I have dug up information from an import site that claims they've started shipping, so I guess the miracle
has happened. GT4 has actually started being sent out. It's a new years miracle!

Google can now translate japanese sites into english. Its not great, but its clear what the site is saying: "Dispatch possible time: It dispatches within usually 24 hours." This is the same thing as "Availability: Usually ships within 24 hours" I would assume.

DANG! Yeah, I forgot Google.
Having checked the official GT4 site, they've got a bunch of TV commercials with December 28th on them. Cool commercials actually.

The "In English" thing for amazon.co.jp only put the ordering/shopping cart/shipping parts of the site in english, everything else will remain japanese ;)

Still, I'm pleased the game has finally shipped. Now I just have to wait for Sony to decide we're worthy for a US release:)

Just saw it yestereday at a store here in Chinatown NYC, looks great, cool double package with booklet and a white DVD case, they also had a teched-out Nike/GT4 neoprene zip-up jacket.
No, I did not play it.

I'm such a racing nut, were it not for the hassle of using Swap Magic, I'd buy the Japanese version.
And I posted back in November I think about GT4 being playable of the net using something like that. Now I just wish I had a network adaptor:(
