Half-Life 2 canned for Xbox?

In a recent article, SPOnG called out IGN for claiming that the Xbox version of HL2 has been scrapped—or rather, will be released on Microsoft's next console:

"In a bored, boring column about predicting the future, in which some of the laziest cliched in-jokes are touted, the massive site predicts the timelines of the Xbox and Valve's incredible shooter will clash, resulting in an Xbox 2 version being offered…  Nothing solid to back up the fansite-esque gossip right now, though we say this piece is classic Internet guesswork…" (SPOnG)

So yes, these are all rumors.  And sadly, this post is more about one site taking potshots at another than actual gaming news.  Our apologizes, it's been a slow afternoon…
