Dolby is showing off their latest tech at CES. This surround sound thing is getting a little silly. If you thought 7.1 was probably enough, get ready to swallow 13.1. That's right. 13.1 channels in one room. My wife would kill me. The Dolby Digital Plus format will be the new standard for HD DVD format, with a max bitrate of 6Mbps (as opposed to the current 640kbps). This will certainly effect gaming, making all of our play rooms impossible to enter due to the piles of tweeters and audio cable.
