Vaporware makes us feel better about ourselves. We promise stuff all the time, and then find out we can't really follow through. So when a company gets ahead of itself and announces its next big thing to the world prematurely, we like to pounce. For example, the annual Wired Vaporware Awards. Such notables as Duke Nukem Forever, Longhorn ("Longwait") and Apples 3Ghz CPU are given face-time. The top Vaporware is a gaming device. Many of you probably know what that is. Let's just say the hardware's name is very appropriate.
