GameSpy has dropped one of the first reviews
for LucasArts & Pandemic's sure-to-be-a-sleeper- hit, Mercenaries. 5 Stars! (Oddly, only 4.5 for the
PS2 version) Yes, the mysterious green guy liked what he saw. And what did he see? Stuff blowing up—a
lot of stuff. Yep, pretty much anything & everything. But GameSpy assures us that the game adds depth
and variety to go with the to-die-for physics engine & particle effects. Be wise and don't sleep on
Mercenaries.
[EGM ('87') & GMR Magazine ('80') chose more down-to-Earth scores. So it's safe to say, the verdict is still
out…]
