Happy 1-Month Birthday Sony PSP!
Apparently, to celebrate the PSP's 1-month birthday, some Tokyo thugs purchased one of the little guys,
then proceeded to drive over it & bash it with a bat. You can find the video here. Enjoy.
[Thanks, Regine]

Looking at that picture makes me want to vomit. I don't think I could stomach watching the video.

I hope the site's admins block Bill Lumberg's ip, his comments are becoming bad enough to make we want to abandon this site.
Brian Behrend @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
Wow, Bill you're a complete moron. You're giving Office Space a bad name.
Bill's Psychiatrist @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
I apologize for Bill's behavior, he recently switched to decaf and a new class of anti-psychotics and, frankly, you've seen the results.
Jerrybean @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
Well, "bill lumberg", I have to thank you. When I first saw this, I though it was rather pointless and didn't give it much attention, but your comment has made me realize what it was that these people were doing. I now find it quite facinating.
It wasn't about smashing a PSP, but to desecrate something that (too many) others hold sacred. The interesting part is not watching a PSP be destroyed, but watching the reactions of others.
You got played.
Pity, now it's not so interesting anymore. Watching an idiot figuratively froth at the mouth in rage isn't much sport when it's so easy. What are you doing? Flaming in a forum post? Pathetic.

bill is dum and rude. dont pay him any attension. he probably has a ds and is upset that he cant have a psp made by the awesome japanese.
Steve @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
The guy must work for Nintendo or something
Todd @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
Why does everyone have such a strong reaction to an inanimate object? Come on, it is just a crummy plaything with a rotten battery. Get over it.
edge @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
i think these guys work for sony. they smash up a psp and get everyone to cry over it wanting the psp even more. im get a psp cause they are cool and not for kids with mature games and awesome screen. duh
Luke @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
I obviously read this after Bill left some of his words of wisdom, but I can only guess.
About the video: not that the thing would play after the first hit, but I am actually quite impressed with how of a beating it took until it really started to look screwed up.
The only question is, why? Was something lost in translation?
Geez! @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
"and not for kids with mature games and awesome screen."
I really hopes that is just being sarcastic!
If not I'll just suggest you play both Nintendo and Sony games and appreciate that the games on both consoles are mature - y'know a game doesn't have to contain 'blood and guns' to be enjoyable by adults such as myself *rolls eyes*
Also any idiots saying that the DS (etc) is 'kiddie' may want to play the first and second Nintendo developed games for DS - one being the most adultly acclaimed platformer of all time (M64) and the other being Metroid Prime:Hunters!
Asz @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
The majority of people who say that one console or handheld is "kiddie" compared to the other is most likely, and I find this completely ironic, just an 11 year old kid themselves. Just check their atrocious spelling, grammar, and complete lack of a valid point.
Andre @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
I love the PSP. I dont care what games come out for it, it just looks cool and it will impress alot of people. Shiny shiny object, ooooh.
JoaquinR @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
Who needs to worry about batteries or games? This thing looks so good already. All you have to do is flash it about to get street cred. The people in the video aren't crazy. They are showing off how much money they have.
If the PSP had a touch-screen you could even use it as a PDA.
Bill Lumberg @ Dec 18th 2005 9:58PM
I'm sorry for my previous harshness, it's hard to compensate for a small member, so most of us Sony boys have to buy nice things to divert the attention away.
Please forgive me.
(im a backdoor bandit too).

"Looking at that picture makes me want to vomit. I don't think I could stomach watching the video."
are you serious? are you that attatched to the value of a bunch of plastic and metal that you would vomit over a broken PSP?
