I only wish I'd played "Killzone" more so I knew if
this review was accurate or not. It's currently sitting atop my PS2,
and I've yet to find the time to try it out properly. What I HAVE played (skirmish mode) I liked. A lot! The
atmosphere, the graphics… I even dug the mode where you just sit back and watch the AI play one of the multiplayer
levels.
This review, however, doesn't seem to be as enamored as I am. Which is fair enough, since the reviewer has probably
played it more than I have. Sure, the game has great graphics, great multiplayer (and the AI is pretty good if you have
no network adaptor and want to just skirmish alone, in my opinion), but the single player campaign is heavily scripted,
and the game has some graphical issues according to this review, and who am I to doubt?
The title was originally billed as a "Halo Killer". Even having only played it for a little while, I can already tell
it isn't. But it seems like fun. In my opinion, it's definitely a rental, at the very least.
