You fine folk in the UK need wait no more.
You can pre-order the device at Amazon, though they do point out the final launch date and release details have yet to
be confirmed.
March 18th is the day. Unless Sony change their mind. It will also cost you £179.99, so you'd better start saving your
pennies so you can feel the love.

179almost $340?
Didn't Sony promise to keep the price point under $200 in all markets.
Bait and switch?
How much are games?
This gets more dissapointing every day.

For Sony to sell the PSP and just under $200US here, it'd cost the same as the PS2 right now. I think even the DS works out at $280. Since the $ is pisspoor right now and these consoles are region free, importing is actually cheaper than buying locally.

Uh...this is about twice what I was willing to spend on the system. This does not include the price of the memory stick and battery does it? Shoot, I also gotta get a game.
At this price, I could buy a DS for my girlfriend and myself as well as a game or two. I'm gonna seriously reconsider now. She's been bugging me for a DS and I can't argue that 'touching is good'.

Don't worry about it being expensive in the uk, things always are.. Ipods are $100 more, Xbox's are $80 more, itunes songs are $1.60 The Uk market can support those profits though so thats why everyone charges more over here.
