Electronic Arts, continuing their world takeover have, as many of you know, tried
to acquire Ubisoft.
Ubisoft do not want to become part of Electronic Arts, and have made cryptic statements about having a
"defense plan" if EA come calling that will guarantee EA
don't win. No mention on what the plans are, but the rumours a while back were that the French government was ready to
step in, and Ubisoft saw the bid as hostile.
However, EA themselves deny the bid was that way, laying their case on the table at the link below and making things
sound like they were quite cordial. So either there has been a misunderstanding, or one of the companies isn't telling
the truth.
Who needs a soap opera when we have this?
