Gamestop claims Grand Theft Auto available for PSP on March 1st

You always need to take these things with a grain of salt, but Gamestop has posted an "Available" date of March 1st for a bunch of Sony PSP games. Titles include Metal Gear Acid, Need for Speed, and, get this, Grand Theft Auto. Stay tuned.

Oh god. This is just what the world needs. More kids thinking they are thugs from playing grand-theft-trash.

everyone stand back cus the psp is the best of the best with games that show how cool games can be! GTA is going to rule with the ladies and jacking cars. i am gonna be the envy of all my cool peeps whan i get this. i have been saving al year to get this and lots of extra batteries to switch caus i hear the battery does not last. everyone of the bus id going to be super jelaous!!!

You know, I was really excited about the PSP, but these games leave me wondering. They are either things I have already played on the better PS2, or things that look downright dumb.

I think I'll wait until they have some good games first. Maybe by then, they will fix some of the system's problems.

EBgames.com has all of their PSP games as "shipping on 3/15/2005". I know like the article above says, you have to take it with a grain of salt. It doesn't really mean anything. But I think we will probably see the launch around mid-March. I watched the CES movie clip about the PSP and the guy from Sony said he expected it to be released "late March", if my memory serves me correctly. Still have that tax refund ear-marked and ready to spend! :)
