The shelves of stores are a morass of "T" and
"M" rated games. As a father with a young child, it's tough to find games for my son to play. He loves Burnout 3, but
really, something more aimed at the younger audience is a rarity, especially if you want something that isn't
condescending or stupid.
Gamasutra has a nice piece on designing games for the younger crowd, specifically Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2. I've
debated picking this game up for a while now, and this may have finally sealed the deal. It sounds like they saw where
the big franchises like Jak and Daxter were going, and went the other way.
