What a joke. This isn't an exclusive deal.

So what they are saying is Take-Two is the only game publisher that can make a MLB baseball game... *EXCEPT* Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo can make one if they want also...

How much sense does that make?

What is to stop EA from striking a deal with Microsoft, or even Sony... to be the developer for a game published by Microsoft or Sony?

Dumb. Just dumb.

I don't know. If you listen hard enough, it sounds more like Take Two might be saying "buy us!" rather than "take that."

Looks like the only logical course of action at this point is for Microsoft to buy EA. (I kid!)

Nintendo used to publish first-party baseball titles - remember the Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball series?

the worst part is, EA has the best baseball game PERIOD! NFL games can be debated but MVP is hands down the best... this is SHIT!

Umm.. I wouldn't say EA was hands down the best MLB game. That is most certainly debateable. Sega's World Series and ESPN line of baseball games were very good.

RTFA. It's MLBPA rights, not MLB rights. Still a big deal, but an important difference.

The article has been changed from when I read it. It did NOT say the MLBPA when I posted it.
