Sega has sold their stock in Visual Concepts
to Take Two Interactive. Reading the quotes in the article, it sounds like the ESPN debacle has a lot to do with it.
The sale gives all the ESPN related titles to Take Two, and Sega are done, it seems, with the US sports market.
Shortly after the sale was announced, Take Two announced the creation of the 2K Games label. The line of sports titles from Visual Concepts will continue under this new banner.
