The more I learn, the more I think Sony are quite mad for delaying the release of Gran Turismo 4
until mid March. Forza Motorsport for the Xbox is
out shortly thereafter. Of course, that's not really a competiting title as it's on a different platform. However, amid
all the hype of GT and Forza, Konami's Enthusia for the PS2 has been largely ignored.
Due just a week before GT, it has over 200 cars, and a number of circuits to rival GT, including the venerable
Nurburgring Nordschleife, which is popping up in pretty much every racing game these days. (And that's a good thing.)
One very interesting feature is a random track generator. After all these years, I'm still amazed that the majority of
racing games don't have some sort of random track generator. I remember seeing one in Lotus 3 on the Amiga, and that's
it. Anyone else know of a race game with an actual track generator rather than an editor?
Enthusia sounds interesting, and a lot of people who've grown weary of wating for GT are vowing to spend their dollars
on Enthusia rather than GT. Battle begins in March. Assuming neither Sony or Konami delay their titles.
Enthusia: The real GT killer?
