Sam & Max's final heartbeat has flat lined as Bad Brain confirmed that negotiations with LucasArts for the rights to Sam & Max: Freelance Police have ceased. In their forum Bad Brain left this disheartening message:
"We tried everything to bring you the game you all wanted. But it seems all hope has gone. They broke off negotiations."
