EA does the Sony PSP

psp baseball

Games Domain lays out the EA launch strategy for the Sony PSP. The slightly-large games publisher is throwing a lot of weight behind the little black, shiny device. Hopefully it can stand all the pressure. The GD preview is a good read, revealing a couple of things we haven't heard yet.

First, they get into how EA plans to accomodate the power consumption issues. Their titles are known for their expensive, well-done soundtracks, after all. But a spinning UMD disc guarantees 2 innings of baseball, then lights out.

Second, the company has made wireless and "hot potato" multiplayer possible on each title. This way you can play a friend who has a PSP, or just pass the device if he's not as lucky/wealthy as you are.

Oh, all the titles covered are sports titles, too. Big surprise.
