Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was a great looking game, with huge areas to explore and thousands of NPCs to interact
with. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be a knockout, with huger areas and fewer, but smarter, NPCs to interact with.
Sounds like a worthy sequel to us. A preview on CVG has delved into the sequel deeper than we've gone before, and
yanked out some nice details that make us RPG fans all atwitter.
Among the details:
A new combat system, less dependent on mashing your poor mouse endlessly.
Improved AI to make your opponents behave more like Tamriellian beasts. Whatever that means.
Streamlined diary and inventory management. Morrowind was much-improved, but it was still a mess. Hopefully, the
fourth time is the charm.
Off to do some Morrowind now. Work, be damned.
