I could barely read beyond "John Madden, whose horrible, clotted voice makes me wish I was dead."
I
was laughing to much. Couldn't agree more.
Madden holds the dubious of honor of being the only sports game where I immediately turn the commentary off.
The article makes some good points about the recent shenanigans from EA, though I take issue with "nobody cares about
video baseball." If nobody cared, there wouldn't be baseball games, but there are. Which means people do. True,
it's not as many as the NFL, but I know a lot more baseball fans than football fans. Of course, I'm a baseball fan, so
that stands to reason.
While the article is aimed at EA, the fact is it applies equally to Take Two and their MLB agreement. The only people
that don't benefit from these exclusivity deals are the customers, who get to pay full price, when the company can
pretty much phone it in because they know you'll buy it.
