Never let it be said that we don't love the Ngage around here. Okay, let it be said that Steve doesn't love the
Ngage. But I've learned to really like mine. As a phone it's not so great, but as a gaming device I think it's best if
we don't declare it dead quite yet. There are a lot of potentially great titles coming out for the device in the coming
months. Yes, the recent announcements of layoffs and cut R&D budgets doesn't bode well. But, perhaps, Nokia is just
waiting out the current wave of titles. It's looking like an impressive wave…
Snakes, a recent release, has just pulled in the highest Ngage score on Gamespot yet. 86% is a hell of an
accomplishment. Not only that, but if you look at the list of recent and upcoming games, and check out some of the game
clips, you'll find a lot of good stuff. SSX Out of Bounds (the only
SSX game of the
season), The Elder Scrolls Travels,
Ghost Recon, One (a
fighter), Pathway to
Glory (which pulled in an 81%), X-Men Legends; the list goes on and on.
I remain cautiously optimistic about the Ngage.
