While North American consumers breathed a sigh of relief
over yesterday's announcement, Europeans
were left feeling like second-class citizens when Sony confirmed that the PSP would not be hitting their market until
the second quarter of 2005. Chip shortages were cited as the reason for the delay.
With the Nintendo DS still on schedule for a March 11th launch, Sony will definitely have some ground to make up in Europe. And free Spider-Man 2 UMDs probably won't cut it (but it's a start)...
