Apparently, Sony has populated their newest game development arm with a septet of programmers all previously hailing
from Microsoft Game Studios. Oh, and guess who they hired as a consultant and advisor to the group? Ed Fries. Yes,
that Ed Fries. The former head of Microsoft Game Studios himself, Ed Fries. So not only do the programmers
have the privilege of working with one of the most established names in the industry, they also get to ride his Segway
around the office.
And just what project, exactly, are they working on? Sony wouldn't say, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to
consider that 1) they were hired by Sony Online, and 2) several team members had previously worked on the
scrapped Xbox MMOG Mythica. Okay, okay, it's no secret that they're working on an MMORPG. So yeah, an MMORPG
for the PS3 would be nice, but would one for the PSP be any better, considering the debatable battery life and the
loading times?
